The church office will be closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.

Groups

Senior Gathering – Dinner & Movie Night!  Join us Wednesday, June 19th 6pm at Community Church Ryf Road for the 1st Annual Bakes Bean Dish Contest.  1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded, thanks to Mark’s Piggly Wiggly Oshkosh.  Please bring a dish to pass.  Worship will be provided by guitarist Scott Harper.

Women’s Ministry

Summer Women’s Group – If difficult days have ever left you discouraged, this interactive 11-week journey will help you engage creatively with God’s Word and establish habits that lead to greater joy and peace.  We will be meeting Tuesday mornings 9-11am (starting June 3rd) and Thursday evenings 6-8pm (starting June 6th).  Both groups will meet at Ryf Road and run through the last week of July.
We will enjoy a time of scriptures, worship thru music and fun with crafts that reflect Philippians.  A book is required: Joy in Philippians.  Please sign up in the lobby or email Markley at delikows.pm@gmail.com.

Hero Central

Memorial Day Weekend (May 26) Hero Central will be open 9am & 10:45am services for ONLY nursery – Pre K.  All other children should join us in the main service.

SUMMER SCHEDULE – After some extensive thought, prayer, and discussion, we’ve decided to close the elementary grades of HERO Central for the summer. Our hope is that this will allow for rest and rejuvenation for our volunteers.  We encourage those with older children to experience worship together as a family.  The last full day of programming will be June 2nd and this will be a fun day of celebration.  Nursery – Pre K will continue to meet throughout the summer.

VBS prep is in full force! If you would like to help with this year’s VBS, please contact Wendy in the church office.  Not available the week of VBS? You can still help out by picking up a donation tag near the HERO Central desk. Thanks!

General Announcements

Heart for the House is a campaign to address specific building needs at both of our sites.  Bring your pledges in this Sunday.  For more information about Heart for the House, visit community-church.com/heart.

This will be a great opportunity for reflection on your Identity in Christ as well as working on a craft together. Invite your friends, or come meet some new ones. This is an amazing opportunity for anybody following Jesus, whether you’re a new or seasoned believer, to refocus their hearts on what it really means to be a Christian and live a life of faith. This class will run for 7 weeks and childcare will be provided.

The community garden will officially be kicking off May 19th from 1-4pm.  This will be a celebration of all the hard work that went into the garden and provide an opportunity for everyone to come see the progress. Celebrate Recovery has started! Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. It is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our lives. Celebrate Recovery is on Sunday evenings at Ryf Road from 6-8pm. Contact the church office for more info.

THIS FRIDAY is our album release night of all original music. The evening will start at 630pm out at our Ryf Road location. Cds will go on sale that evening for and be available for a special price of $5. We hope you can make it but if you cant, CD’s will be available Sundays at both locations for $10.

THIS SUNDAY the cafe will not have breakfast!!  Instead, we will have a Poland BBQ Fundraiser. The cafe will have BBQ, cheesy potatoes, coleslaw, cornbread, and bread pudding!  Authentic southern BBQ will also be available for pickup after each service.  You can preorder at community-church.com/bbq

General Announcements

Support HERO Central!   Join us on Sunday, April 28 in the lobby at Ryf Road for the Silent Auction!  Bidding will close at 12:30 pm.  Bid high!  Bid often!

The past two years, your generous donations have enabled us to raise over $5,000! With those funds, HERO Central has been able to complete painting projects, increase the family activities budget, purchase new computers and ongoing, needed supplies. This year, proceeds will purchase new curriculum for HERO Central, wood chips for the playground and gardening supplies for the HERO Central garden plot. Your kindness and generosity will allow HERO Central to continue to be a fantastic, safe place for kids to learn and grow in their walk with Jesus.

We are having a build day THIS SUNDAY from 1-4PM. Snacks and water will be provided, so please come help us install fencing, mark garden paths, and build a compost bin!  If you are able to partner with us through donations, we need items like mulch for paths between the garden plots, compost to help amend the soil, and a storage bin for garden tools. If you are able to donate something smaller we could use items like watering cans, hand tools, and/or garden gloves. You can donate at community-church.com/giftgarden. Thank you!

We’re joining Calvary Bible Church in Neenah for a one-day conference called Blended & Blessed.   Blended & Blessed® is the only one-day live event and live stream just for stepfamily couples, single parents, dating couples with kids, and those who care about blended families. Join us at Calvary Bible Church for a day discussing what you can do to have a healthy stepfamily marriage. With some of today’s most trusted and respected experts, Blended & Blessed will challenge, inspire, and encourage you.  If you are part of a stepfamily or know someone who is, this is a can’t-miss opportunity!  Blended & Blessed will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 @ 8:30AM.  Contact Erv Fischer for more information.

General Announcements

Easter Sunday services will be at Ryf Road ONLY. There will be a 6am sunrise service that will be quieter in nature followed by 9 am and 1045 am services. No services that day at New City.

On Easter, Hero Central will not be open for the 6AM service.  Hero Central will be open for the 9AM service as usual.  However, only nursery and Pre-K will be available at the 10:45 service.  Space will be limited, so come early to make sure you children are able to get into Hero Central!

We will have cinnamon rolls, eggs, and lattes in the Cafe Easter morning.  Take and Bake cinnamon rolls will also be available, but you have to pre-order those by April 19th.  You can place your order at community-church.com/rolls.

We are having a build day on Sunday, April 28 from 1-4PM. Snacks and water will be provided, so please come help us install fencing, mark garden paths, and build a compost bin!  If you are able to partner with us through donations, we need items like mulch for paths between the garden plots, compost to help amend the soil, and a storage bin for garden tools. Celebrate Recovery has started! Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. It is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our lives. Celebrate Recovery is on Sunday evenings at Ryf Road from 6-8pm. Contact the church office for more info.

Support HERO Central!   Join us on Sunday, April 28 in the lobby at Ryf Road for the Silent Auction!  Bidding will close at 12:30 pm.  Bid high!  Bid often!

The past two years, your generous donations have enabled us to raise over $5,000! With those funds, HERO Central has been able to complete painting projects, increase the family activities budget, purchase new computers and ongoing, needed supplies. This year, proceeds will purchase new curriculum for HERO Central, wood chips for the playground and gardening supplies for the HERO Central garden plot. It’s almost time for Easter, and we’ve got a lot of exciting things planned. 

  • April 18 – There will be a special Passover meal on Thursday, April 18th in the lobby at Ryf Road. Space is limited so we need you to register by clicking HEREThe cost is 5 dollars a person and will be a great opportunity to learn about and eat a traditional Passover meal. This is a family event but if your children aren’t old enough to join, childcare will be provided.
  • April 21 – Easter Sunday services will be at Ryf Road ONLY. There will be a 6am sunrise service that will be quieter in nature followed by 9 and 1045 services. No services that day at New City.

On Easter, Hero Central will not be open for the 6AM service.  Hero Central will be open for the 9AM service as usual.  However, only nursery and Pre-K will be available at the 10:45 service.  Space will be limited, so come early to make sure you children are able to get into Hero Central!

HERO Central is in need of a few leaders for the NEW 1st-grade classroom at our Ryf Road location.  Our program is bursting at the seams (what a great problem to have!!) and we need to create a new classroom.  Please contact Wendy to get involved.

There is a group meeting on Sunday mornings to study the book of Luke.  This group meets in the board room in the Ryf Road offices at 7:30am before the first service.

  • April 21 – Easter Sunday services will be at Ryf Road ONLY. There will be a 6am sunrise service that will be quieter in nature followed by 9 and 1045 services. No services that day at New City.

Starting on April 2nd, we will be holding a faith basics class at New City! This is an amazing opportunity for anybody following Jesus, whether you’re a new or seasoned believer, to refocus their hearts on what it really means to be a Christian and live a life of faith. This class will run for 7 weeks and childcare will be provided.

SAVE THE DATE! If you haven’t heard, we are releasing a Worship album with all original music! On May 3rd we will be having a cd release/Worship night at 6:30pm out at our Ryf Road location. More details soon to come!

HERO Central is in need of a few leaders for the NEW 1st-grade classroom at our Ryf Road location.  Our program is bursting at the seams (what a great problem to have!!) and we need to create a new classroom.  Please contact Wendy to get involved.

Groups

Five Love Languages – There’s a group starting to study the Five Love Languages (https://www.5lovelanguages.com) on April 10th.  The group will meet every Wednesday at 6:30 at Tim & Barb Macho’s home.  Contact the church office for more information.  Register at community-church.com/fivelovelanguages.

We have a women’s group starting on March 26th at 9AM in the Cafe at Ryf Road.  They’re studying a series called In & Out by Kay Arthur.  Contact Diane Kettner to register at dkettner70@gmail.com   

There is a group meeting on Sunday mornings to study the book of Luke.  This group meets in the board room in the Ryf Road offices at 7:30am before the first service. 

CSM

WE’RE DOING A LOCKIN!!  We’ll be at Badger Sports Park on April 5 from 11:30pm-6am.  This includes food, soda, and UNLIMITED ACTIVITIES – LASER TAG, VIRTUAL REALITY, MINI-BOWLING, LASER MAZE, AND MORE!!!  The cost is $40.  Register by clicking HERE!

Wild Game Feed!

It’s a potluck! Bring your already prepared favorite wild game dish to church at 6:15.  Don’t have any wild game?  Bring a side dish or just yourself! Please email Dan Tentcher at dtentcher@charter.net and tell him what you are bringing or that you are just attending by March 28. We had 30 guys last year, let’s see if we can top that!
