Starting the summer of 2019, we will do a significant remodel of Community Church New City. Why, you might ask, invest in a space that we do not own…and already appears too small?  Good question.  We believe New City is in a season of transition. The community is growing rapidly but isn’t quite ready to move or take on a building project (both financially and in attendance).  With that said, we believe this remodel will help buy time in our current space to expand…but also reduce monthly expenses.

We will also be tackling many of the felt needs facing Community Church Ryf Road. The building is close to 20 years old, and over time things simply need maintenance and updates. From landscaping, to paint, to brickwork, to lawnmowers…there is no shortage of projects that need attention at Ryf Road.

Our plans to accomplish this at both locations include creating beautiful and intentional spaces for our community to thrive. Preparing environments of honor and excellence for our community to worship. And building a culture of hospitality where all are welcome to experience what God is like.

Practically this means:
-Opening up our current lobby by updating the kid’s check-in area at New City
-Adding full men’s and women’s bathroom suites at New City
-Rethinking the auditorium to maximize more useable space for seating in both locations
-Updating paint, flooring, furniture, and finishings at both locations

By making these improvements at New City and Ryf Road we believe our current facilities will allow us to grow both deep and wide for years to come.

We’re asking the community to commit at a deeper…sacrificial level, by simply pledging to be a part of the project.  This pledge obviously includes a financial investment, but also swinging hammers, painting walls, scraping floors, and hauling concrete.  For us to be the church we believe God is calling us to be, it really takes all of us…stepping up to make this house a home.

So if you have any experience in building, plumbing, electrical, or flooring and want to help…please email  Pastor David (HERE)for more information.  If you just want to help in whatever way you can come August, there will be work days planned later this spring.

In the meantime, please prayerfully consider your financial pledge.  There are cards available at both locations to fill out and drop off, or you can make your pledge online by clicking the card below. All pledges need to be in by May 19, with all pledged money by June 30.  Financial pledges can be given via cash and check in person at both church locations, or mailed to the address below.  Credit cards can be used by clicking HERE then selecting “Heart For The House” dropdown. Bank transfers can also be completed by contacting our accountant Renee by clicking HERE.

Thank you so much for choosing to invest here, by making this house a home. We truly believe the investment we make today, through this intentional season of generosity, will echo from here to eternity as God supernaturally multiplies our sacrifice.

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
