Midweek at New City
Midweek is a social size community group at Community Church New City.
Every Tuesday from 6:30-8pm we will be gathering to practice the unique rhythms and ways of Jesus as a community. Our aim is to grow in understanding and experience as we follow Jesus together. Childcare is always available! Here’s the new format:
Week 1: Town Hall
A time to learn from leaders in the Oshkosh community, so we might better know how to love our neighbors.
Week 2: Revival
A time to hear from God in prayer and worship, but also to ask God for his revival and restoration in us, in our church, and our city.
Week 3: Study
A time to dig deeper into the scriptures to better understand who God is, who we are, and how we might love our city well.
Week 4: Mission
A time to practice what we preach, and apply what we have learned from the previous weeks by practically serving our city.
September 18 – Kick Off!
This will be a time to talk over what is to come in this new midweek season. We’ll be looking to the life rhythms of Jesus to see how we might best use our time. 6:30-8pm, childcare is available!
September 25 – Study
This will be a night dedicated to study and worship. Hannah Kallio will be leading an immersive and interactive teaching on the Day of Atonement…and why it must matter to God’s people today. We will then be responding in worship and conversation. 6:30-8pm, childcare is available!
October 2 – Town Hall
This will be a night dedicated to learning from key leaders at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, so we might better know how to love our neighbors. 6:30-8pm, childcare is available!
October 9 – Revival
This will be a night committed to prayer and worship, asking God for his revival and restoration in us, in our church, and our city…specifically the university, it’s students, and faculty. 6:30-8pm, childcare is available!
October 23 – Study
This will be a night dedicated to digging deeper into the scriptures to learn why it’s important to care about the realities of life on campus. And what God is calling us to do in response. 6:30-8pm, childcare is available!
October 30 – Mission
This will be a practical…boots on the ground…opportunity to practice what we preach, and apply what we learned by serving the University, it’s faculty and students. The actual project will be determined throughout October as we learn and pray. 6:30-8pm, childcare is available!
