News & Notes

Daylight Saving Time Ends

It’s that time of year again…when you “Fall Back” and get an extra hour of sleep! Morning church services will be at their normal times at both sites (9&10:45). See you then…unless you come early…then you can grab some food and coffee and hang out for a bit 😉

Operation Christmas Child

This Sunday we have a Packing Party scheduled if you’d like to do it with tons of Christmas Cheer with lots of other folks. The Packing Party is scheduled for Sunday 11/4 from 4-6pm. No registration necessary…just come ready to pack! This is a fun family activity to bring your kid-helpers along to pack with you. Childcare will NOT be provided.

Sunday at Ryf Road

This Sunday (after you get that extra hour of sleep) you’ll be treated to the MacDowell Male Chorus during the services! We’re excited to have the men join us again!!

You’ll also want to grab some breakfast in the cafe! The Poland Mission team is serving up some yummy breakfast options. Stop in and grab some food – at the same time, your donation for breakfast helps support them on their mission trip in Summer.

Hero Central Training

Next Sunday (11/11) at 12:15 at Ryf Road, Wendy will be holding a training for all teachers and helpers from BOTH sites. This is going to be a great time WITH LUNCH SERVED to connect with other folks and really get comfortable with the new curriculum. We’d love everyone that helps out in Hero Central to be there if at all possible. Thanks!!
P.S. Lunch is promised to be really yummy!!

Bless A Family

Bless a Family is a ministry at Community Church that was designed to help families that are going through a difficult time so that they can capture the love that God intended for us to celebrate each Christmas.  If you know of a family or if you need help this Christmas Season, please fill out the Bless a Family Application and return to the church office by November 12th.  Forms can also be picked up at the info desk.  If you have any questions please contact Kristen Nesterick at (920) 410-6738 or BY EMAIL HERE.

OASIS Unplugged - We Need You!

OASIS Unplugged: an evening of singing and capturing the heart of our whole church body as we worship together. We want to hear YOUR VOICES (like a huge choir) as part of our upcoming church worship album. We would love to fill the worship center up with hundreds of people and enjoy a fun night of worship together.

Thrivent Choice

Are you a member of Thrivent Financial who’s eligible to direct Choice Dollars?
Choice Dollars charitable outreach funds can make a world of difference to our church as we work together to be a community of faith bringing faith to the community. By directing Choice Dollars, eligible Thrivent members recommend where they feel Thrivent should distribute a portion of its charitable funds. Directing Choice Dollars is easy. Simply go to Thrivent.com/thriventchoice to learn more and find program terms and conditions. Or call 800-847-4836 and say “Thrivent Choice®” after the prompt.

Leaving a Legacy

Have you ever thought of including Community Church in your will? Setting up a deferred gift is a great way to leave a legacy. What a great thought to think that a gift you leave for the church, of any size, might be able to help Community Church carry on ministry for generations to come. If you have any questions, contact Wayne Meier in the church office – or consult your attorney or financial counselor.
