General Announcements

Vertical Worship in Concert THIS Saturday, November 13th @ 7pm. community-church.com/verticalworship.

We will be having a baptism service on Sunday, December 19th. The Bible commands that after making a decision to follow Jesus we are to be baptized. This is a symbol of new life in Christ. It shows they want to celebrate that new life in Christ and commit to living for Jesus publicly. If interested in being baptized or learning more go to community-church.com/baptism or talk to a pastor today.

Child Dedication is a ceremony that dedicates a child to God and welcomes them into the church. Parents also dedicate themselves to raising the child in a Godly home. If you are interested in having your child dedicated go to community-church.com/dedication and fill out the form. We will be having child dedications during the morning service on December 19th.

Make a difference in the life of a child! Fill an Operation Christmas Child shoebox! Filled shoeboxes should be returned to church by November 21.  If you have any questions, please contact Kim Patterson in the church office.

November is National Runaway & Homeless Youth Prevention Month. Community Church is partnering with Boys & Girls Club and “Youth on the Move” to help spread awareness and shine a light on youth homelessness. You will notice green footprints on the front doors marking us as a safe spot and supporter. The footprints are a way to let youth know that as they walk, they are never alone, they walk with their community.

Perspectives is coming to Community Church in 2022, starting January 18th. Perspectives  is a fifteen-week course designed around four vantage points or "perspectives" — Biblical, Historical, Cultural and Strategic. Each one highlights different aspects of God's global purpose. God has a "world-sized" role for every Christian in His global purpose. Whether people go to distant countries or stay at home is a secondary issue. The primary issue is what most people are hungry to discover: vision to live a life of purpose. Discovering that vision makes this course valuable, and perhaps crucial, for any Christian. For more information or to sign up go to perspectives.org.

Fair Trade Festival November 13 from 9am - 2pm at 404 N. Main Street Oshkosh. Shop fair trade gifts for the holidays. Your purchases create dignified employment for women escaping human trafficking and cyclical poverty.
