General Announcements
Community Kids families are invited to join us for a Noon Year's Eve Celebration on December 31st. Join us at 11am for games, activities, a countdown and balloon drop at noon. Sign up at community-church.com/noonyear.
What if we all started our days alone with God, reading Scripture, and responding with adoration and action? It would change everything.
As we begin a new year, we challenge you to begin a reading plan. Read Scripture Bible plan helps track your progress of the entire bible that shows you where you've been and where you are going. Download the plan HERE or download the app at readscripture.org.
World Relief will be conducting an informational meeting and training for anyone interested in being a part of a good neighbor team to help welcome refugee families coming to our area. Everyone interested in helping is required to go through the training first. Join us on January 3rd 6-8pm at Community Church. Dessert and drinks will be provided.
Perspectives class begins Tuesday, January 18th 6:15-9pm. Perspectives will open the eyes of your heart with fresh knowledge and understanding of God's unchanging purposes and why they're relevant to your life. This 15 week study highlights a different live instructor each week. There is a $50 family discount and the FIRST NIGHT IS FREE! If you aren't sure - show up and check it out. If you’re looking for a fun, challenging, low-impact workout, join certified Pilates trainer Sara Richardson for a beginner mat class for 4 weeks at Community Church beginning January 13th. Register Here - space is limited.
Community Church Back Together Better Together t-shirts have arrived and will be available to pick up on Sunday morning. If you were not able to get a shirt during the original order, please stop by the table in the lobby. This is the FINAL supply of Back Together Better Together t-shirts. We have a limited supply of sizes and will not be ordering any more.
Equipping Your Teens For the Future. Maggie Frank will be leading an event at River Valley Church on Saturday, January 15th 9:00-11:00am. The world speaks volumes to our children and teens on a daily basis, with much of its message being contrary to the Bible. How do we as parents respond to this? This time together will bring up those topics that our children are faced with and encourage you to have real, purposeful, scripture-focused conversations with the children and teens in your life. You will be encouraged to have really hard talks that we’d rather avoid having altogether but are so needed. We look forward to encouraging you as a parent or as an adult who has influence in a youth’s life. Please, no children or teens at the event.
Do you have lightly used, good condition or new books? Give back to those hurt by the crisis in Afghanistan. Drop off books by the Community Kids desk to help local Afghan Refugees. CLICK HERE for additional information.

Celebrate Recovery has a NEW LOCATION! Join us at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 808 N. Main Street Oshkosh Friday nights 6-8pm. (Enter the rear door off the parking lot of the church. We will meet in the lower level. Please ring the doorbell and someone will let you in.)
If you would like to get connected with the group, please contact Ron Paulick. We are in need of additional men to join the group at this time. Come find freedom from your hurts, habits, and hangups and live the life God desires for you to live. They will not be meeting December 31st.

Forgiving What You Can't Forget by Lysa Terkeurst. In this six-week journey with Bible teacher and author Lysa TerKeurst we'll begin to unpack what the Bible says about forgiveness. We know God commands us to forgive. But how, when the hurt plays over and over in our mind? And why, when we have already suffered so much? And, are there exceptions, such as when the other person keeps inflicting pain? REGISTER HERE

Join us for worship at 8:30am & 11am as we kick off a new series, Unshakable looking at the book of Hebrews. We will be celebrating the Lord's Supper during the morning services.

The first Sunday of every month we collect a special offering for our Samaritan Ministry. This offering is for those in our community who may be going through a difficult time. You can also give online at community-church.com/give and select ‘samaritan’.
