General Announcements

Join us for the Community Kids Easter Egg Hunt THIS Saturday, April 9th at 10am. It will be a fun morning of worship, games, balloon animals, bounce houses and Easter Egg Hunt. Sign up TODAY at community-church.com/egghunt.

Sponsor a Lily for Easter Morning at Community Church. Sponsor in memory of a loved one or give as a gift Easter Sunday. After the services, the flowers are yours to take home. Lillies are 6" with 5-8 blooms from House of Flowers. Sign up for your Easter Lily at community-church.com/lily.

Get ready to “Make Waves” this year at VBS! Have you ever heard of the “ripple effect?” This year, we will be learning that what we do today can change the world around us. Join us as we spend an exciting, fun, and faith-filled week together this summer! VBS is open for kids entering kindergarten through 6th grade. Sign up today to reserve your spot at community-church.com/vbs. Classes are filling quickly! Limited number of spots in each classroom.

Community Kids is able to offer a FREE VBS each summer due to the generous donations from our church family. If you are interested in helping purchase supplies for this summer's Vacation Bible School, please sign up at community-church.com/donatevbs. Return all labeled donations (name & item donating) to the Community Church Oshkosh office by May 15th.

Have you thought about mentoring? Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Wisconsin is looking for volunteer mentors for youth ages 6 to 18. Meet 2 to 4 times a month with a youth playing games, cooking dinner, getting outside, coming to our match activities, or just talking. Become a Big Brother, Big Sister, or Big Couple! The National Day of Prayer 2022 is Thursday, May 5th. The theme will be: "EXALT THE LORD WHO HAS ESTABLISHED US”. Based on the scripture Colossians 2:6-7. Mark your calendar and plan to participate. For additional information check out the National Day of Prayer website: nationaldayofprayer.org.

Holy Week

Maundy Thursday

Christ in the Passover: A Presentation
Join us for a powerful presentation from Jews for Jesus of the beautiful symbolism of the Jewish ceremony called a seder. We’ll weave the story of the exodus and freedom from slavery together with the messianic hope realized in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. The words “do this in remembrance of me” will take on an even deeper meaning to Christians as we learn the significance of the tradition Jesus observed the night before He died and give us a closer look at the very Jewish life He led.

Good Friday Service
April 15th 6:30pm
Join us on Friday, April 15th as we remember the love that compelled Jesus Christ to die on a cross for us. Child care will be available for children nursery - 3rd grade by CSM students.

Easter Sunday
April 17th 8:30am | 9:45am | 11:00am
Join us as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Community Kids will be open for Nursery - 6th grade during the 8:30am service. Nursery only will be available during the 9:45 & 11am services.

Groups

Celebrate Recovery meets Friday evenings from 6-8pm at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church 808 N. Main Street Oshkosh. Come find freedom from your hurts, habits, and hangups and live the life God desires for you to live. CLICK HERE for additional information.

Young Adult Game Night on Saturday, April 30, 2022, 6:00-10:00PM. Join us for a night of fun, food and fellowship at Doug and Bernie Campbell’s home (5840 Crestview Dr, Oshkosh). A light supper, snacks, and desserts will be provided. If you have a favorite board game, bring it along!

Community Kids

Community Kids will be open this Sunday for Nursery - 6th grade at the 8:30am and 11am services. Foundations is at 10am with classes for all ages.

Join us for worship at 8:30am & 11am as we continue in our series, Unshakeable and look at Hebrews 9:1-10. Community Kids Choir will be leading worship in the Worship Center during both morning services. We will also have baby dedications during the morning services.

Community Kids is open for children nursery - 6th grade during the 8:30 & 11am services. Foundations is at 10am with classes for all ages (nursery - adult).

Cafe' On Ryf
The Swazi Mission Team will be hosting a Bake Sale at Community Church this Sunday. Pick up your favorite jam, homemade garden salsa and baked goods. The cafe will be serving French Toast and Egg Bake. All donations from the cafe’ & bake sale will support Hosea’s Heart in Swazi.
