GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Ice Fishing for Panfish Clinic with Captain Greg Karch of Learn2Fisth With Us
Join us on Thursday January 16th at 6:30pm. Captain Greg Karch will have a time of teaching and Q&A followed by a devotional time with Pastor Karl. For more information and to sign up CLICK HERE.
The Bible commands that after making a decision to follow Jesus we are to be baptized. This is a symbol of new life in Christ. It shows they want to celebrate that new life in Christ and commit to living for Jesus publicly.
If you would like to take that next step and be baptized or you want to discuss further, fill out the form at community-church.com/baptism. We have a baptism service coming up on January 26th.

Child Dedication is a ceremony that dedicates a child to God. Parents also dedicate themselves to raising the child in a Godly home. If you are interested in having your child dedicated, please fill out the dedication form at community-church.com/dedication.

Damascus Road will be hosting a Trafficking 101 Class at Community Church Oshkosh on Sunday, January 12th at 10am - 11:30am.
Damascus Road Project is dedicated to fighting the evil of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. They are committed to bring awareness through educating, restoring and empowering the abused, and advocating for the prevention and abolition of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. Join us on January 12th to learn how you can help and become aware to identify those being victimized.

Women’s Bible Study
Starting January 9th, we will begin the study "Behold Your God - Rethinking God Biblically" which is a 12-week study that focuses on God's character as revealed in the bible, and how to embrace these descriptions of God in our lives. We will be offering a Thursday morning study at 9am and a Thursday evening study at 6:30pm.
If you've ever felt like you just can't get in control of your money, you're not alone. You'd be surprised how many people you know are struggling just like you. But it's time for your struggle to end—starting today.

A new Community Group for seniors that will be starting in January. Join us beginning January 15th on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday from 10-11:30am. We will be going through the study Power in the Name of Jesus by Jennifer Kennedy Dean. Discover the powerful and life-changing meaning behind Jesus’ “I AM” statements in the Gospel of John. Through this eight-week interactive study, learn how to live in the authority and power of the name above all names.
Wired To Pursue – God and Game
This new men's group, inspired by the Angling for Answers event kicks off January 8th. Men who love to hunt and fish, also love to talk about hunting and fishing are invited to join us. We will meet in the CCO Café once a month, on the second Wednesday of every month, at 6:30pm. CLICK HERE for more information.
Celebrate Recovery meets Friday evenings from 6-8pm at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church 808 N. Main Street Oshkosh. Come find freedom from your hurts, habits, and hangups and live the life God desires for you to live. CLICK HERE for additional information.

Young Adults are invited to join us 1st & 3rd Tuesday from 6-8pm for Bible Study. We also have activities and events planned throughout the month. CLICK HERE for more information. Young Adult Ministry is for adults age 18-28.
MISSIONS
This month we are highlighting the ministry of Natalia Starkowska. Natalia serves with Josiah Venture in Poland to equip and empower leaders, especially young Polish national leaders who to impact God’s kingdom. Learn more about her ministry at community-church.com/missionary.

Sunday, January 5, 2025
Worship services are at 8:30am & 10am. Join us this Sunday, as we kick off a new series Strangely Dim. In this series we will explore how encountering the light of Christ in the Gospel of John shifts our focus from worldly distractions to the eternal hope found in the Son of God. We will be celebrating communion during the morning services.
