GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

CCO is hosting a One Day Marriage Conference "Vertical Marriage" on Saturday, November 9, 2024 (8:30am - 4:30pm).

CCO is NOW HIRING for a Facilities Assistant! Want to join a great team, apply today at community-church.com/jobs.
The Facilities Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the building and grounds of the church.  This is a full-time position that supports the Facilities Manager in ensuring the proper maintenance and care of the building for the use of the church body.

COO office will be closed on Tuesday, October 8th for a staff outing. If you need to reach staff, please email them directly or contact us at info@community-church.com.

Thanks to everyone that participated to make Serve the City Weekend a success. We had 644 volunteers serving 25 organizations in our community. We want to be a church that continues to serve and be on mission. 92g0 provides opportunities to continue to live on mission on our area. Our area code is 920, let's go out and reach the people in our area by serving them. You will find opportunities listed on the CCO Events page, select 92g0.

Join Bella Medical as they empower individuals to make healthy life-affirming decisions through free education and medical services. REGISTER HERE to join us on Saturday, October 5th for the Walk for Life.

A World Relief Interest Meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 8th at 6pm. Join us to learn more how you can assist with World Relief and help welcome refugees to our area.

Join us to serve at the Day by Day Warming Shelteby providing and serving a meal. Sign up HERE for the date you wish to serve and let us know what items you will be bringing for the meal.

Fall Fest Trunks are needed! This is an easy way to serve our community and our church. Sign up today HERE!
Community Kids Fall Fest on Sunday, October 20th from 2pm-4pm. Fall fest is family-fun afternoon with trunk or treating, face painting, balloon animals, bouncy houses, games and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Community Kids is looking for donations of individually wrapped candy for CK Fall Fest. Please drop off any donations at the CK desk.

PDS F.U.S.I.O.N. is looking for volunteers for their Haunted Hustle 5K on Saturday, October 19th. CLICK HERE for more information.

GROUPS

Celebrate Recovery meets Friday evenings from 6-8pm at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church 808 N. Main Street Oshkosh. Come find freedom from your hurts, habits, and hangups and live the life God desires for you to live. CLICK HERE for additional information.

AfterParty is having a Hiking, Cookout, and Bonfire Night on Sunday, October 6. Sign up to join us on the CCO Events page. AfterParty! is for those 25-40 years old.

YOUNG ADULTS

Young Adults are invited to join us 1st & 3rd Tuesday from 6-8pm for Bible Study. We also have activities and events planned throughout the month. CLICK HERE for more information. Young Adult Ministry is for adults age 18-28.

Sunday, October 13th
Join Young Adult for a fun afternoon at Mulberry Lane Farm in Hilbert. Meet at CCO at 11:00 to car pool. Cost is $15 a person at the entrance. Cost is all-inclusive to the activities within the farm, this includes, the kitten barn, hayrides, one pumpkin from the you-pick patch, and access to petting/feeding zoo.

MISSIONS

During the month of October, we are highlighting the ministry of Jane Fischer. Jane serves with Converge in Japan. She teaches 8th grade students at the Christian Academy in Japan, an international school. Check out more about their ministry HERE.

Perspectives Class is being offered at Community Church Oshkosh beginning January 6- April 21, 2025. Perspectives is a study program rooted in Scripture, clarifying each believer’s remarkable opportunity to join God in His global purpose. 

COMMUNITY KIDS

Community Kids will be open for Full Programming for children nursery - 5th grade during the 8:30am & 10am services. Community Kids Unlimited (CKU), our special needs children's ministry, will be available at the 8:30am service.

Play & Praise
Join us for story time, worship, crafts, snacks, and fellowship on Monday, October 7th. Kiddos age 5 and under and their caregivers are invited to join us each month. CLICK HERE for more information.

Empower Conference
Students in grades 6th-12th are invited to join us for the Empower Student Conference at Appleton Alliance Church on Friday, October 18th & Saturday, October 19th. We will be participating with churches from across the region and share with what the Lord is doing in and through our students. SIGN UP HERE.

Sunday, October 6, 2024

Worship services are at 8:30am & 10am.  Join us this Sunday, as we kick off a new series SEVEN. Reshaping our character by addressing some of the most prominent vices in our life. Join us as we teach on the SEVEN deadly sins. We will be celebrating the Lord's Supper during the morning services.

Happy Hour (Meeting Room)
Life is busy.  It can be difficult to get to know other people and develop friendships, especially if you have kids!  Join us and other parents/caregivers for Happy Hour!   Happy Hour starts with a short devotional and the rest of the time is to connect with others in the midst of the chaos of life. 

Where'd Your Bible Come From? (Student Ministry Worship Center)
How did a collection of writings written more than 2000 years ago end up in your lap in a language you can understand? But, more importantly, why do we care about it? Join us as we explore the history of the Bible, the challenges of translating the Bible from one language to another, and why this book is so important.
